Tempted by the power and freedom of his Nổ hũ df999 new abilities, Miles must decide what kind of Spider-Man he wants to be. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in Marvel’s New York. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.

With the launch of the game, we’re excited to share more about the awesome new PC-enhanced features the team at Nixxes has been working on. Following the conclusions of their respective solo adventures they’re now a tight-knit crime-fighting duo, but both are predictably still struggling to juggle their superhero callings with their personal responsibilities. It’s hard not to feel, though, that Peter’s inability to hold down a job or progress his relationship with MJ feels a little higher stakes than Miles… procrastinating over his college application? It was nominated for numerous end-of-year accolades, and won in six categories at the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, including df999 of the Year. The game sold over 2.5 million units in 24 hours and over five million in 11 days, becoming PlayStation’s fastest selling first-party title.
Primarily a Peter Parker story, Spider-Man 2 explores his relationship with MJ and the reintroduction of childhood best friend Harry Osborne into his life. It’s always compelling to watch him contend with which pieces of the past to leave behind and what future self he wishes to be. No matter how hectic a scenario gets, though, he always has a quippy one-liner ready to be expertly delivered by actor Yuri Lowenthal. One area that Insomniac has made improvements in is that Spider-Man 2 offers significantly more in the way of enemy variety, so you’ll no longer be battering the same five balaclava bullies with baseball bats. New factions and units, such as flamethrower-wielding cultists that keep you at a distance, flying drones, and hunters who deploy laser grids above your head to limit aerial attacks keep you on your sticky toes. Certain enemies are weak to different types of abilities, such as electric or symbiote attacks, which also adds an enjoyable extra wrinkle to fights.
Upper East Side Spider-bots
You are only allowed to use Web Wings and Wind Tunnels, nothing else (can’t use Web Swings with and can’t speed up with Web Pulls etc). Big Apple Ballers Stadium is found in the south-east corner of the map (south-east corner of Downtown Brooklyn). The bases are the white markers on the floor in the brownish outline. The only villains we get are Kraven, Venom, Sandman, The Lizard, and Mysterio (kind of). They set up The Chameleon and Carnage but they don’t actually do anything. And that’s not even mentioning side characters like Silver Sable who easily could’ve returned in some capacity.
Peter puts Miles to the test, going off to Symkaria for a couple of weeks to help MJ with her work as a reporter there and leaving Miles in charge of protecting the city, leaving him as the sole Spider-Man in NYC for the first time. Miles reveals to Peter in the credits’ scene that he has gained spider-like powers after he was bitten by a spider that escaped Osborn’s personal lab. Additionally, we’re shown a teaser for the Symbiote in Osborn’s lab, where he has also kept Harry in a tank until he finds a cure for his illness. With the help of his new suit, Spider-Man defeats Doc Ock and takes the cure, but there is only enough left to save either Aunt May from dying or to replicate the formula to save everyone else.
If an enemy shows “Danger” when aiming at him, it means doing the takedown will get you spotted, so avoid this. Check all enemies in an area to take them out one by one in stealth. You can still do it after the story in the open world, enemies keep spawning infinitely in Crimes (you can go invisible as Miles and focus on stealth Crimes which are random).
Peter also briefly appeared in Across the Spider-Verse in both versions of his Advanced Suit. Spider-Bots are the hardest Collectible to find in Spider-Man 2, because unlike the other Collectibles, they aren’t automatically marked on the map. You can also get the ‘All-Seeing’ perk within the Traversal tab to mark them on your in-game map – use this to farm tech parts, too.

No matter where you are in your Spider journey, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know to enjoy this new video game adventure. Though not wildly different mechanically (they’re separated mostly by a different set of combat powers), the two do feel impressively different, largely thanks to top notch animation work and a commendable attention to detail. How much this dual protagonist feature actually adds to the game is a little questionable I think, but the execution is undeniably slick. But you can play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, switching between the heroic Spider-Men on your crime-fighting adventures to experience their individual gameplay abilities and story elements. Act 2 is arguably the best portion of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as it is the best-paced section of the title as well as the most action-packed.
It’s also expanding to include some of the boroughs that were absent before, and the water around the city will play a larger role. This a dedicated section for the small number of suits that are specifically tied to and/or unlocked within the main story, and therefore are inherently spoilers for certain plot developments or reveals. Gameplay-wise, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is very similar to the series’ previous installments. The fundamental difference is that this time both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are playable. The playable character changes during certain plot points, for example, if one of them isn’t able to arrive somewhere in time or when they need to split up. [newline]Arriving on May 6, otherwise known as Free Comic Book Day, is a prequel story to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This slice of adventure is set to pit both Peter and Miles against a “new Super Villain whose powers they [don]t understand.” That villain being The Hood.
The first game will always be better but this one is still a great game that’s definitely worth playing. Join Peter Parker and Miles Morales on an adventure throughout New York as they team up fully for the first time, and confront a dangerous hunter storming the city with an even more terrifying threat looming on the horizon. Two editions of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available when it launches on PC on January 30th, including the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition (DDE).

A highlight, though, is the theme that follows in Kraven’s footsteps, which bears more than a passing resemblance to Howard Shore’s Uruk-hai war march from The Lord of the Rings score.
They are evolving brawls packed full of danger that put all of your skills to the test. Dodges and parries are key, as well as using environmental tools dotted around the arenas for your benefit. Despite a couple of new tricks up its sleeve, Spider-Man 2’s combat is very familiar – it doesn’t have that new suit smell anymore, but it still feels incredibly comfy to slip back into.

Especially with the added personal connection between Spider-Man and Venom, really highlighting Venom as the dark mirror of Peter. Hopes were high when the teasers at the end of both Spider-Man and Miles Morales teased the arrival of Venom. And, thankfully, it’s the only part of the story they actually did well.
It’s exciting that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has already been listed on Steam and the Epic Games Store, giving players more ways to experience this adventure. The final trailer shows more of Venom and a newly revealed villain in the form of Sandman. It also shows more of the Venom in the symbiote form and how it affects Peter mentally with the black suit, as well as how Venom becomes his own humanoid form by latching onto one of the characters. Instead of arriving on Earth via a meteorite, as it did in the video game, the Venom symbiote came to Earth already bonded to Spider-Man, fixing itself to him while he participated in the cosmic showdown SECRET WARS (1984).
